The press hasn't heard from controversial and fabulously bearded developer Shaya Boymelgreen since the credit crunch decimated his portfolio, shuttered his bank and forced him from his Brooklyn office?until now! The Observer got a word with the one-time prolific developer (15 Broad, 20 Pine, River Lofts, etc.), and he says he's back in business: "We have a few, I would say, institutions and private institutions behind us, from the U.S. and Israel. Unless I get an offer I can't refuse, I would like to concentrate now in Manhattan." To which Brooklyn responded, "We're totally cool with that!" [NYO; previously]
