Sneak a Peek Inside Calatrava's WTC Train Station

New, 14 comments

Santiago Calatrava's design for a soaring PATH-and-subway-train-connecting World Trade Center Transportation Hub has been, er, evolving (okay, okay?getting cheapened up) for so many years that we're not really sure anymore what it's supposed to look like when it's finished in, fingers crossed, 2014. Luckily, the Wall Street Journal's Metropolis blog snagged the above animated rendering of the train station. Pretty cool stuff! The clip was funded by Brookfield Properties, owner of the nearby World Financial Center, so we'll have to save our "So that's why this thing is costing $3.2 billion" line for next time.
