The loft building at 76 Crosby Street is Soho's star-studded castle?Nicole Kidman, Leonardo DiCaprio and Harvey Weinstein have all crashed there?and Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa are its current king and queen. Regis's sidekick and her actor hubby (and their various offspring) sold a full-floor loft in the building back in 2005 and moved on up to the massive duplex penthouse, which they bought for $9.5 million. They took on the Landmarks Preservation Commission and went renovation crazy, and now it's estimated the penthouse could fetch between $15 million and $20 million. Do you know what happens when someone tells you your apartment is worth $20 million? Your pupils turn into dollar signs. (It's actually a very serious medical condition.) And so, the royal family of 76 Crosby may be decamping for new territory.
The Post's Jennifer Gould Keil reports the penthouse is "quietly on the market," which means we're not getting any online listing photos to ogle anytime soon, though we've seen a few other pads in the building, where Samuel L. Jackson and Gawker's Nick Denton also have apartments. The family previously lived in the Time Warner Center, and Keil writes the next move may be a sore subject: "Sources say Consuelos wants to live uptown while Ripa would love to stay downtown in SoHo." Can you blame her? With the way she name-checks local restaurants like La Esquina on her TV show, we doubt the Consuelos clan ever has to pay for a dinner downtown.
