Just in time for the U.S. Open, the city has restored and reopened the Unisphere, the fountain built in Queens for the 1964 World's Fair. The leaks into the nearby Queens Museum of Art have been stopped and the fountain will be on all day, every day until Labor Day, after $2 million worth of joint and pump repairs and a new coat of paint.
