And now, the results of this week's PriceSpotter asking price guessing game!
Location: 406 East 73rd Street #3R4R
Asking: $1,154,000
A few guessers came very close on this week's unit, even with a lot of skepticism about the value of combining these particular apartments. As one commenter put it, with a lowball guess of $975,000: "That open kitchen with expensive-looking finishes is going to have all life and light squeezed out of it when it's blocked off by that spiral staircase. It will become as suffocating a coccoon as any of those four bedrooms. Still the buyer's Brady Bunch will get plenty exercise from trudging up and down those walk-up steps and to and fro the subway. And there has to be some reason for the madness. Over fifteen hundred square feet on 73rd Street has got to be worth something. Right? Right?" Y/N? Until next week!
