Williamsburg's 349 Metropolitan Avenue ran into some trouble last year with a group of vandals who defiled the Jerusalem Gold Stone facade of the then-stalled 42-unit condo project. You do hate to see that. But the building stripped off the newly-gritty exterior, put on some clean clothes, and decided to come back to the market as a rental. It's now officially on the market, with prices ranging from $1,595/month to $4,550/month for studio through 3BRs. The owner tells us leases have been signed for 36 apartments?some floorplans and interiors above. The building seems particularly excited about its robot courtyard mural, by Brooklyn artist R. Nicholas Kuszyk. Seems fitting, even if we would've picked zombies over robots.
