The latest headlines from Curbed Hamptons, our outpost on the East End...

1) In a $12.95 million Water Mill house with four laundry rooms, how much of the 18,000 square feet does the master suite take up? About 1,500 square feet that are basically identical to your Manhattan apartment: there's a vestibule, large sitting room, two walk-in closets, a linen closet, a bathroom, and a water closet.

2) Where does soap opera producer Frank Valentini keep his Emmy awards? On the mantel of his $2.35 million Bridgehampton house, of course!

3) The Robert A.M. Stern-designed extension of the East Hampton library has been plagued by problems, with the Zoning Board of Appeals denying the proposal. But library officials held their own vote on it, and 83 percent of locals gave the project the thumbs-up. If that doesn't work, the library plans a lawsuit.
