We don't know if there's a connection (karma?) between this story and the Northside Piers Duane Reade's sketchy policy of using residential dumpsters to throw their garbage out, but there's been a full stop work order posted at the as of yet unopened Duane Reade on North 3rd and Bedford. This is nothing but great news for our tipster who wrote "I hope the damn thing never opens." But that might be wishful thinking as the stop work order is for this weekend, with a big red X next to "Excavation and Interior Demolition" We can't get the full deets just yet as the DOB website hasn't updated with this new stop work order. The Williamsburg Duane Reade twins are just having a really bad week it looks like!
