New York City's creepiest crawly isn't the bedbug, no sir. All landscape designer and blogger Marie Viljoen wanted to do was check up on her rooftop vegetable garden in Cobble Hill and admire the "unprecedented butterfly activity" when she found this instead, what she suspects is a tobacco hornworm. Though at first in awe of the terrifying creature, Viljoen tells us she has since carried out lethal justice for the critter's crime of eating her tomatoes. But she's found three more! Oh dear, they're multiplying.
