Gone are the days when our old acquaintance Bridgeview Tower asked the PriceChopper for assistance or offered wary buyers a rent-to-own option. Apparently Bridgeview Tower now wants to be noticed?at least, that's the only explanation we can think of for the building's new $7 million penthouse listing. Yes, that's right: a $7 million penthouse. In DoBro. Or maybe even Rambo. Where the most expensive apartment sale in the last six months appears to have been a $1.675 million condo on Boerum Place. (Toren isn't even a contender so far.) The $7 million price tag in this case works out to $1,400/square foot for the 4BR, 4.5BA, 5,000-square-foot apartment, a duplex with a wet bar, balconies, and terraces. The listing has no photos or floorplan yet?the broker tells us they'll be along early next week?but hey, that just adds to the suspense, right?
