Greased-Up GarageGate Update; Griffin Court's Fleeting PriceChops

New, 6 comments

UPPER EAST SIDE?A tipster comes to us with this shocking and slippery update on Carnegie Hill's most controversial curb cut and private driveway?the one at the townhouse at 161 East 94th Street that scored some serious NYT ink recently: "This morning I was admiring their fine orange parking cones (complete with weights on the bottom to ward off cone abduction) when I noticed a sheen on them that was not present the other times I strolled past. Apparently, the curb cutters don't like people stroking their cones, as upon further examination, I found that they are covered top to bottom with a very thick coat of grease. I am not talking Pam non-stick cooking spray here. I am talking mean and nasty axle grease. Lets hope a Carnegie Hill lady who lunches doesn't rub up against them and soil her dresses. Crappy cell phone pic does not do it justice, but you get the idea." Ick. [CurbedWire Inbox]

HELL'S KITCHEN?Are crazy murals and the biggest collection of cabanas in the neighborhood not enough to tempt buyers at Griffin Court? Well, just in case they need a bigger shove, the building?which just got its TCO?is offering the next 15 buyers a 15% discount on any unit. The adjusted prices just hit StreetEasy.
