East Village Apartment Bargain Gets Awfully Kinky

The Catch, in which we present everything-looks-good-except listings, needs you! Send your nominees to tips@curbed.com and we'll consider them for public shaming.

What/Where: A 15' by 12' room with two windows on St. Mark's Place, with bed, dresser, table, TV, WiFi, and a closet.
Looks Good, Right? The place is asking only $800/month, and the landlords describe themselves as "friendly, sane & intelligent, and are hoping for the same in a roommate. This is ideal for a college student or somebody who works full time and is social and out a lot."
The Catch!: Why the low, low price? The Craigslist ad, found by EV Grieve, explains: "My partner and I are offering this vastly reduced rent because we would like to maintain access to the room in question. We lead an 'alternative' lifestyle, and use the room to host fetish and bdsm themed photo/video shoots and sessions."
The prospective landlords explain:

"It is our photo studio basically. Nothing illegal and absolutely no sex will take place in your living space. We will not ask you to participate, only to shift to another room from time to time, and we will thoroughly clean the room every time we use it. We also rarely use the space for more than two or three hours at a time." · $800 BDSM friendly apartment (East Village) [Craigslist]
