This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...
1) Greenwich Village: HRH Keith McNally wants to bring a version of his Bowery blockbuster Pulino's to the former Village Paper store on Greenwich Avenue. McNally showed up solo at a Community Board 2 meeting, and there were fireworks! Do read on.
2) East Village: The folks behind the legendary Grimaldi's pizzeria have announced plans to open an offshoot called Juliania's on the Bowery. It would be "a 62-seat place on 352 Bowery; no bells and whistles, just Grimaldi pizza in Manhattan." New starchitecture and classic NYC pizza? That Bowery is really going places!
3) Carroll Gardens: Who says breeding gentrifiers have taken over all of Carroll Gardens? Check out Court Street's Marco Polo Ristorante, a lasting vestige of the neighborhood's Italian-American community. Dig the brickwork!
4) Flatiron: Our opinion on this week's biggest opening: Hill Country Chicken. Here's the early word on the bird.
