Williamsburg's Edge Racks Up Its First 20 Closings

New, 10 comments

We last heard from the Edge, the endlessly under-construction Williamsburg waterfront project and subject of the epic poem we're gonna write one of these days, at the end of August, when the building's first closing hit public record. Now, according to a press release from the building's sales team, there have been a total of 20 closings, plus 20 more sales in August. We hit public records to dig up more sales data. Unfortunately, there are no listings available for most of the sold apartments, but one, studio #4M, sold for $459,342 after being listed for $530,000, a discount of 13.3 percent. That's right in line with Edge obsessives' detective work on the buildings' choppage.
Not all of the sales have hit ACRIS so far, but here's a partial rundown of what else has recently sold:

1) #9T, plus a storage room, sold for $625,000.
2) #12G sold for $518,200.
3) #7E sold for $807,472.25.
4) #6E sold for $865,512.50.
5) #4E, plus a storage room, sold for $855,330.
6) #7P sold for $660,000.
7) #7Q, plus a storage room, sold for $477,087.
8) #4T sold for $580,402.50.
9) #6Q, plus a storage room, sold for $474,349.20.
10) #20D, plus a storage room, sold for $1,103,273.88.
11) #11H, plus a storage room, sold for $850,238.75. This unit appears to be listed as still available for $865,000.
12) #5H, plus a storage room, sold for $694,955.63.
13) #8Q sold for $481,650.
