Second Avenue Subway Taking It's Time

New, 11 comments

In the Second Avenue Subway is totally screwed saga, the MTA announced that the project's completion is going to be delayed 2 more years to 2018 and will cost $420 million more than the $4.5 billion projected cost. The Post also adds "It was just the latest frustrating news for straphangers, who spent yesterday suffering through one of the MTA's biggest disruptions of weekend service ever. Trains were disrupted on 18 of the 19 lines that run on weekends, with the MTA deploying 600 shuttle buses across the city." [NYP]
