Buyers Go From Williamsburg, to the Racetrack, to $5M Condo

The Devonshire House didn't close many units in August, but the white-hot conversion of the pre-war Central Village rental building did bag a big one: A $5.2 million sale of a 4br/3.5ba apartment that matches the building's biggest deal to date. Both were "E" line units, but this most recent sale was on the fourth floor (the $5.2 million sale in July was four floors higher). The price paid was just under $2,000/sqft, which we figured was the most interesting thing about the transaction until we read up on the buyers. We're kind of obsessed with them!

Williamsburg-raised childhood sweethearts who made good, got into racing horses and named their stables operation Brooklyn Boyz. Add their new $5 million Manhattan apartment, and we've got a real American Dream thing happening here, right?
