Extell's Riverside South community of glassy towers has always sold well, but no one would accuse the West Side Highway-hugging Upper West Side buildings of being star-studded affairs. But that was before Fashion Week moved to Lincoln Center and glitzed up everything within a country mile. Now the newest tower?the part-condo, part-rental Aldyn?is scoring serious Wall Street Journal ink for having handed over a bunch of apartments to designers like Diane Von Furstenberg and Elie Tahari for a Fashion Week-inspired show house fundraiser.
And guess who's already dropped by? Serial house-hunter Alex Rodriguez, who the Post's Jennifer Gould Keil reports got a tour of a 5,600-square-foot duplex (complete with private pool and outdoor hot tub) even though the condos have yet to hit the market. Would the 15 CPW resident really trade Central Park for Riverside Park? Hey, now that his rock-steady captain is looking to shake his living situation up, anything is possible!
