The Empire Stores, the ancient coffee warehouse lining Water Street in Dumbo, is ready for some action?again. The decrepit old gem, which has been a development target for years and is supposed to be an income producer for Brooklyn Bridge Park, is getting a new round of suitors. Park officials will solicit new bids from developers in March, and the 325,000-square-feet of retail and commercial space could be in new hands by the end of the year. [NYP]
