Closings Get Rolling at Cobble Hill's Columbia Commons

New, 3 comments

Cobble Hill's Columbia Commons debuted as a Development Du Jour last May, with a few potential snags for prospective buyers. Namely, an unfortunate BQE proximity and a slightly-too-rosy view of how the building, with its wide-plank oak floors and multi-pane windows, fits into the neighborhood's history. Still, buyers got pretty enthusiastic about the 42-unit building, which stands on the site of the former Hamberger Christmas Display Factory. A press release from the sales team tells us the building is now 65 percent in contract, and closings have started. None of the sales have shown up in public records, but a peek at the StreetEasy page shows 27 units in contract at prices ranging from $420,000 to $955,000. Guess the distressed brick and masonry look is a winner? The 13 apartments that remain are asking between $399,000 and $685,000.
