Looks like it wasn't a fluke that buyer Andrew Youmans got a 25 percent discount on his penthouse at 385 West 12th Street. Apartments at the copper-facaded Flank creation still cost a pretty penny, but not quite as pretty a penny as the developer and sales team initially anticipated. The latest to sell is the other penthouse, #PHE, at a similar markdown. Buyer Jasper 385 LLC shelled out only $9,164,250 for the apartment, which was asking $12.5 million way back in 2007. It went through a few rounds of choppage, for an ultimate discount of 26.7 percent. For its next trick, perhaps a flip?
