Midtown's Rum House Revamped; Inside a Coney Oldie; More!

New, 1 comment

This week's top dish from Eater NY, Curbed's restaurant, bar, and nightlife blog...

1) Midtown: The owners of Tribeca bar Ward III have taken over the divey old Rum House in Midtown's Edison Hotel, which closed last year. Now its refurbished and reopened (above). Check it out.

2) Coney Island: For his sensational "Who Goes There?" series, Lost City's Brooks of Sheffield visits century-old Coney Island curiosity Garguilo's, described as "Ancient Rome by way of the Marriott Grand Ballroom."

3) Chelsea: A new outpost of classic Brooklyn pizzeria Grimaldi's is set to open in Sixth Avenue's Limelight Marketplace on Monday. Behold, a slice of pizza!

4) Chinatown: Put this in your Canal Street gentrification pipe and smoke it: prepster nightlife kings Tom and Anthony Martignetti are looking to open a 180-seat, Asian-inspired, 2,000-square-foot restaurant at 200 Canal Street. We're assuming they won't be selling counterfeit handbags.
