We were too busy eating the Edge's food to pay much attention to the Williamsburg building's sales stats for the past few months. Last we poked through public records, in fact, only 20 units had closed. That was in September, so the Edge had a pretty strong fourth quarter: a press release from the sales team tells us the building recorded 115 sales in 2010, and we see another 16 sales that have hit public record since January 1. That puts the two-tower complex over the 40 percent sold mark, and it might also bump the building up a few places on the 2010 building bestseller list. The priciest sale so far remains LED artist Teddy Lo's $2.2M penthouse buy, with the runners-up in the last three weeks in the low $1 millions. We're still waiting on the closing of the record-breaking $5.145 million combo unit, but Williamsburg waterfront doubters should take note of the strong $850/sqft average sales price.
