How Two West Village Penthouses Became One

Today Apartment Therapy focused its fashionable specs on a West Village renovation by architect Andrew Wilkinson in which two pre-war penthouses were combined into one. Though we love gawking at apartment goodies like the "cantilevered raw steel and maple storage unit," we're more interested in the fascinating science of combining floorplans.
