MePa's Latest Luxury Condo Starts Slow Climb Skyward

Construction is set to begin on an 11-story apartment building at 345 West 14th Street,where Jay-Z and Andre Balazs once had designs on building a hotel. That didn’t work out, but this DDG Partners (of 41 Bond fame) project seems to be happening, with work currently being done on what remains of the original 3-story building (which will not be completely torn down). Although we originally heard that the building would have 37 units, one of the permits for the site says there will be 38, so? bonus unit! Construction is set to be completed on June 1, 2013.
