JFK's Eero Saarinen Terminal Will Open to the Public This Sunday

New, 3 comments

We've already picked out our favorites from the site list for Open House New York, coming up over the weekend. But the latest addition to the list is worth a post of its own: JFK's Eero-Saarinen-designed Terminal 5. NewYorkology got word that the site will be open Sunday, October 16, from 1 to 4 p.m.. And for anyone who gave up on trying to use the OHNY site last week, there are no reservations required. Restoration architect Charles Kramer of Beyer Blinder Belle and James Stevens, the redevelopment manager from the Port Authority, will speak about the site's future at 1 p.m.. Will they answer the site's key question: Trump or Balazs? Doubtful! But while we wait to find out, the OHNY blog has a few more interior shots.
