It's take 4,286 for SPURA, the swath of undeveloped Lower East Side parking lots the city is finally thinking about redeveloping. Two public scoping hearings on SPURA will be held this afternoon, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at which folks can either speak for three minutes each or submit written comments on topics like the potential Essex Street Market redesign. Oh, and the project is now known as the Seward Park Mixed-Use Development Project, but SPMUDP just doesn't work for us. SPURA 4 life! [EVG]
