Eight homes in Bushwick that the city sold to one of the developers arrested on corruption charges last week are being examined by city officials cracking down on affordable housing kickbacks. Sergio Benitez bought the Palmetto Cluster development in 2008, one of 80 or so HPD projects he's claimed to have worked on, even landing in an HPD brochure "touting the city's effort to increase available affordable housing."
