The low-profile Neo-Moorish facade on the midblock of West 55th Street is about to get a splashy redux, as the Ennead Architects reworking of City Center opens October 25. Unobtrusive no more! $57 million has bought a "new glass marquee (with heat lamps)" plus signs visible from Sixth and Seventh Avenues as well as glass doors that let passers-by "look into the building at six large high-definition plasma screens" that will display installations curated by the New Museum.
