It's easy to forget about Remy, the Costas Kondylis-designed cantilvered tower at the corner of Sixth Avenue and 28th Street. Not only was it in stalled site purgatory for freakin' ever, but the site was even filled in to keep the foundation from collapsing. Now it's time for the Remy site?which was also once the planned home of an Aloft hotel, and which changed hands earlier this year?to move on to the next major arrested development milestone: foreclosure. The site is scheduled for auction on November 9, according to PropertyShark, with a lien of $27,102,367. A sad state of affairs, but no surprise for this building.
