Following a review of over 4,000 agency-owned properties, the MTA is selling off a 14-acre driving range in the Bronx and marketing it as ripe for retail development. The range, in use from 1999 until 2010 when it closed due to money problems, abuts an MTA bus depot and is the largest of nine tracts the transportation authority intends to sell, including its abandoned headquarters in downtown Brooklyn and a "triangular tract" in Soho.
