Some of the privately owned plazas public spaces in Midtown (that's POPs, to you!) have taken an offensive stance against any Occupy Wall Street protesters looking for a change of scenery: prominently placed signs that prohibit “camping and/or the erection of tents or other structures” and “the placement of tarps or sleeping bags." One such POP is owned by Brookfield Properties (owner of Zuccotti Park downtown) and the two others—at 40 East 52nd Street and 345 Park Avenue—are owned by Rudin. [City Room]
