$15,000-a-month rental listings aren't that rare in Manhattan, though most of them offer three bedrooms or more and are located uptown. Now East Broadway is getting in on that blue-chip real estate action, with a 2-bedroom loft in the Forward Building asking the magic number. What it lacks in prestige it makes up for in square feet (4,900 of them) and street cred: The 1912 building faces Seward Park and was the old headquarters of the Socialist paper The Jewish Daily Forward (see Karl Marx's face on the building's facade as proof); at ten stories, it still towers over most of the three- and four-floor tenement housing in the neighborhood. Don't forget the naughty neighbors! Resident Tatum O'Neal (who's selling her own two-bedroom unit) was living here when she was caught buying crack right down the street at Grand and East Broadway.
