Stanford isn't the only school hoping to employ a can't beat 'em, so join 'em strategy in hope of winning the competition to build an engineering school on Roosevelt Island, in DoBro, or in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. Cornell just announced that it's partnered with Technion-Israel Institute of Technology for its science campus bid. The schools will submit a proposal next week for the Technion-Cornell Innovation Institute, a joint degree-granting institution, though Cornell would build the campus and have sole control over some parts of it.
