The leases of seven Coney Island boardwalk businesses, including such classics as Ruby's Bar and Paul's Daughter, expire at the end of this month. But Zamperla USA's deal for four sit-down eateries in those boardwalk?or should we say concetewalk??spaces has fallen through, which means a few of the existing businesses might be offered new leases after all. Ruby's, Paul's Daughter, and any other businesses granted a reprieve would have to agree to improve their spaces, stay open year-round, and hire locally. [NYP]
