East 50s prewar building The Campanile looks more California than New York. That and its history as the 50-year residence of Greta Garbo are two of the main selling points for the building's Club 1/3 unit, now for sale with an ask of $5.75 million. As brokers often do, the apartment's sales team held a party last night to show off the 2BR, 2.5BA, nearly 5,000-square-foot space, and as we often do, we stopped by. Camera-toting intern William Weber notes that the place is only half-renovated?only the kitchen and bathrooms have been done?and, not surprisingly, it feels like a bit more work is needed! Photos and floorplans in the gallery above. Does the 6,000-square-foot outdoor space outweigh the interrupted renovation?
