An Ear of a Deal! $375K for 1BR Co-Op in Carnegie Hill

New, 7 comments

It's hard to say what is more remarkable about this East 91st Street one-bedroom: its decor (that ear!) or its price (only $375,000!). The floorplan doesn't include measurements, but judging from the furniture crammed into every inch, we'd wager it's a petite one. And the new resident—which could be sublets, pied-a-terres, co-purchasers, guarantors, and parents, according to the listing—may have to factor in a redecoration budget, unless you too fancy black, chrome, and anatomical art. True, a space this small isn't going to be a major investment opportunity, but if nearby Mount Sinai continues to expand and Spence keeps snapping up precious Carnegie Hill real estate, space will someday be at a premium. And wouldn't this make a nice little crash pad for a doctor—perhaps, say, an otolaryngologist?
