Bushwick's Cooper Park will be getting a $2.6 million makeover. The upgrades will include?gentrification alert!?a doggie play area, a doggie water fountain, a jogging pathway, a concrete skate park, grill stations, resurfaced tennis and basketball courts, and two volleyball courts. Over the next five years, the plantings and bathroom will get a spruce-up, too. The park was last renovated in 1965, so it's certainly due. [BK Paper]
