Plans for the giant residential complex taking the place of Flushing's historic RKO Keith Theater are still on track, and this time it isn't the neighbors pissed off over a developer's ballsy moves. The site, comprising 357 market-rate rental units, 360 parking spaces, and the original theater's three-story lobby, has a planned height of 162 feet, which may present a problem thanks to its close proximity to LaGuardia airport runways. Naturally, the Federal Aviation Administration ain't happy, but experts say it has no legal authority to stop a building's construction. [NYDN; previously]
