Harlem's Most Confused Condo Decides to Stay a Condo

New, 2 comments

Harlem building and oversupply poster child the Lotta Condominiums may perhaps have some commitment issues. It started off as a condo, became a youth hostel, got sold to a new owner, and decided to go rental. For its fifth life, it looks like the building has decided to go partially condo after all. Harlem Bespoke spots nine active sales listings for the building?now called The Morellino?ranging from $475,000 for a 1BR to $1.4 million for a 3BR. The building website lists a few other units as "reserved" or with contracts signed. Back in the building's early days, we learned that the original name came from entertainer/actress Lotta Crabtree, who once lived there. So why Morellino?
