Artist Carsten Höller has re-created an exhibition from the Tate Modern in which a 140-foot-long slide snakes between gallery floors—in this case, the SANAA-designed white box rooms at the New Museum on Bowery. And that's not all! The funhouse exhibition also features a slow-moving carousel meant to relax its riders (presumably after the adrenaline rush of a five-second whoosh down a colossal chute) and a human-sized swim tank (called, yes, “Giant Psycho Tank") where participants may disrobe and splash around with five strangers. The whole experience is something out of Alice in Wonderland and art criticism aside, really really fun. Carsten Höller: Experience is open tomorrow through January 15, 2012. Also worth scoping out is the exhibition wiki, where visitors can share their own media and thoughts on the slide-o'-death.
