The tenant-hired environmental assessment team has finished its sweep of the Hotel Chelsea, and its findings match up with tenants' claims of health hazards from the renovation. The consultant found mold, electrical hazards, and a blocked exit, but a DOB inspection last week resulted in only one violation, for removal of a partition wall. The Daily News digs up one other irregularity: filings with the city that call for a change in occupancy from a residential hotel to a transient residence.
