NASA will be bringing its space shuttle Enterprise to the west side's Intrepid Museum?and that might mean a new 75,000-square-foot glass structure on 12th Avenue, in what is now a parking lot near the museum. The glassy shuttle garage would also include exhibits, a rooftop cafe, classroom space, etc., but there are two hurdles: the project will cost about $85M and it would require a zoning change. Other cities are clamoring to reopen the competition for Intrepid's home, so the plan is by no means a done deal. [NYP]
