Design For Chelsea Parking Lot-Turned-Tower Revealed

New, 2 comments

Three buildings were knocked down this summer at Eighth Avenue and West 26th Street, and a little sleuthing revealed that the site, 260 West 26th Street, would be home to a GF55 Partners-designed residential tower by 2014. A tipster now passes along a rendering of what that tower might look like. A little archibabble that came with the image: "11-story luxurious residential condominium, one level commercial and 1 level parking. Structure features of cast-in-place concrete and transfer beam at the second and ninth floor and set back at the second and seventh floor?.It has a curtain wall facade mix of punch window, window wall, which incorporated in our design." Anyone hear anything else?
