Reopening a case we thought was closed, Governor Andrew Cuomo is allegedly looking into rebuilding St. Nicholas Church, destroyed on 9/11, on the former Deutsche Bank site, rather than at its original home of 155 Cedar Street. Construction expert Peter Lehrer is apparently conducting a feasibility study about the placement of the church at the Deutsche Bank site, given concerns that it could interfere with the Vehicle Screening Center now in the works just below. Meanwhile, the church and the Port Authority are still in court over church claims that the Port Authority excavated the church's property without permission. [NYP; previously]
