The impending Roosevelt Island tech campus ain't the only game in town: two local schools are now competing with frontrunners Cornell and Stanford for other engineering school toeholds across New York. NYU is pitching an urban sciences and technology center in Downtown Brooklyn, while Columbia pushes for a data science institute on its Manhattanville parcel.
