The third quarter market reports attributed the quarter's spike in sales?an increase of 16.7 percent over last fall? to foreign buyers taking advantage of the weak U.S. dollar. But just how many foreign buyers? Turns out foreigners make up about one-third of condo buyers in the city and 15 percent of the buyers for all types of properties, according to new numbers from the folks at Stribling. That's still significantly lower than the percentage of foreigners going condo and co-op shopping back in 2007, but hey, we'll take it. [Crain's]
