We haven't seen a pricey Upper East Side property so, er, sketchy since the not-so-glory days when 995 Fifth Avenue was still called the Stanhope. Well, this townhouse listing at 161 East 80th Street isn't deterred by the past at all! The place is likely incomplete, since the listing boasts a total renovation. It also goes on to say that the home boasts an elevator and 6,500 square feet of space. The asking price for this slice of modern, uptown townhouse living? $14,850,000. It looks like the house is 18 feet wide, which definitely doesn't make for the most grand of proportions. Add to that the fact that the place is on the wrong side of Lexington Avenue (but just by a few feet), do we think the price is right?
