Brooklyn Heights' Sweetest 1BR, Yours For a $500K Song

New, 5 comments

Welcome back to The Six Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages. Have a nomination? Send it to the tipline.

Price: $499,000
Address: 114 Pierrepont Street, Brooklyn Heights
Size: Unlisted and described as "oversized"
Maintenance: $896
Let's get the few drawbacks out of the way first: this peach of an apartment is a fifth-floor walk-up. Another x factor: the co-op building's eight apartments have not often changed hands, so it's hard to tell about the choosiness of the board. What #5 has working in its favor: a gabled ceiling, lots of light, working fireplace, washer/dryer, a freaking adorable block, its own storage room, and for God's sake, a turret. NB: A parlor floor 3-bedroom duplex in the same 1858, Romanesque Revival building just closed two weeks ago at an asking price of $2.4 million.
