Navy Yard Opens to Public for First Time in 210 Years

The structure topped out an entire year ago, but now the interior exhibitions of the Navy Yard's Building 92 is, as of today, open to the public. For the first time in 210 years! Gothamist and The Architect's Newspaper both got a gander at the $25.6 million complex, which comprises a renovation of an original brick building by U.S. Capitol architect Thomas U. Walter, plus a new 24,000-square-foot space designed by Beyer Blinder Belle (these guys are everywhere!) and workshop/adp.
