Anyone who's lived by Queens Plaza (a Curbed blogger being one, a few fateful years ago) can tell you that it's not a residential neighborhood. The lack of groceries, the steel cage aka the overhead subway tracks and the congestion are definitely hinderances. The Wall Street Journal, however, points out that some new development is slowly but surely coming to the area. How long until the place a true neighborhood, though? Time will tell. [WSJ]
